Utah employers follow federal law plus state rules such as the Utah Antidiscrimination Act, which applies to employers with 15 or more employees. Utah does not set a California-style statewide harassment-training schedule for private employers, but training still supports the reasonable-care defense recognized by the U.S. Supreme Court in Faragher v. City of Boca Raton and Burlington Industries, Inc. v. Ellerth (both 1998).
