Programs for law enforcement

  • Back to the Beat: a keynote on rediscovering the heart of community policing, including the crash-reduction project that cut crashes in his patrol area by more than 70%.
  • Supervisor and command-staff training: leading, protecting and retaining good officers.
  • Employment law for police supervisors: FLSA overtime and the Section 7(k) work-period rules, FMLA, ADA and fitness for duty, discipline and documentation. Since Garcia v. San Antonio Metropolitan Transit Authority (U.S. Supreme Court, 1985), the FLSA has applied to state and local governments, and wage-and-hour mistakes are expensive.
  • De-escalation from a Verbal Judo instructor trained by founder George Thompson.
  • Rise Where You Stand: resilience for officers carrying hard calls.
